Bruce Hough, Ph.D.

Bruce Hough, loved dearly by his family and his friends, passed away peacefully at Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE.

Bruce, 82, was born and raised in Galesburg, IL. He attended Galesburg High School, Western Illinois University, Indiana University, St Cloud (MN) State University, and the University of Nebraska.

Bruce was proud to have taught at Creighton University for 48 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne W, and Lola Huss Hough, and his sister Janet Carr.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Helen Urban Hough, his daughter Jennifer E. Diesing and her husband Brian, grandsons Adam, Grant, and Ethan Diesing, his sister-in-law Elizabeth M. Urban, and Annie, his beloved dog.

Bruce was a golfer, a skier, and a horseman, but he was not one for ritual or ceremony. Per his wishes there will not be a funeral. There will be a private celebration of life.
