Dawn and I went to FL in early April to give Caroline all of the love and support we could muster.  We thought we were gong to lose her in FL.  But she recovered some, and Dawn rode with Caroline in a medical van back to VA.  Dawn saw her every day in VA, as Dawn had promised Caroline.  Dawn gave her a swab of dilaudid (a strong pain reliever) on the inside of her cheek and made a very good connection with Caroline.  I gave Caroline kisses on her cheek, and Caroline smiled softly.  The hospice care nurses said "We think Caroline likes those kisses on the cheek."  Dawn was truly Caroline's angel, as she was mine, during my 4 surgeries within 2 years starting back in 2012.

I remember Caroline well at GHS but lost track of her after that.  My condolences to her family.  And, John, your Dawn is indeed an angel!

Caroline was a very good friend from L.T. stone through high school.  She always had awonderful smile and a delight to be around.  She will be sadly missed.  God bless our class of 1959.

My prayers for you, John, and your daughter Dawn.  Caroline was in my home room and I remember her sweet smile and gentle spirit. Sounds like she lived a very meaningful life.
