Bonnie Jean Carlson 4/8/1999 Bonnie Jean Carlson, 58, of 975 East Fremont Street, Galesburg, passed away at 5:08 a. m. Saturday, April 3, 1999 at home. She was born January 28, 1941, in Galesburg, the daughter of Harold and Jean Temple Benson. She married Donald Carlson on November 26, 1971, in Rock Island. Surviving are her husband; her mother; one stepson, Dennis Carlson, Galesburg; two daughters, Christine Patrick, Abingdon and Ronda John, Galesburg; two stepdaughters, Debbie Carlson, Galesburg, and Denise Fairchild, Las Vega, Nevada; and one sister, Kathy Carlson, Galesburg. She was graduated from Galesburg High School in 1959. She worked for Mangieri Cleaning Services in Abingdon for nine years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Coldbrook Christian Church. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m.Tuesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial was in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of America or to the family.

Bonnie worked as a nurses aide at Cottage when I was in nursing school at Cottage. I enjoyed working with her alot on first medical floor....First North and First Center....the "old" part of the hospital now. She was very good to the patients and to the nursing students.
