GALESBUBG - Charles Wayne Briggs, 47, 1566 Ronald Road, died at home, Wednesday at 6:56 p.m.

The cause of death is under investigation by the Knox County Coroner's office.

He was born In Galesburg on Jan. 14, 1942, the son of Cloyd and Ines McGaan Briggs.

Surviving are his mother. Galesburg, and one sister, Sara Carriere, Ann Arbor, Mich.

He was graduated from Galesburg High School and attended Bradley University, Peoria. He was a an electronics technician in Anaheim, Calif., and had lived m Galesburg for the past 10 years. He was a member of First Christian Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Cremation rites were accorded. There will be no visitation. Services
will be announced at a later date.
