GALESBURG - Larry B. Gabbert, 60, 942 W. Dayton St., died at 5:10 p.m. Sunday (March 11, 2001) in OSF St. Mary Medical Center, 3333 N. Seminary St.
He was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Galesburg, the son of Lawrence and Laura Victor Gabbert.
Surviving are one son, Lee B. Gabbert, Galesburg; one daughter, Kellee Gabbert, Galesburg; three brothers, Glen Gabbert, Abingdon, Danny Gabbert, Monmouth, and James Rosenberg, Galesburg, and three sisters, Pat Ginther, Abingdon, Betty Stevens, Hot Springs, Ark., and Betty Maxine Rominger, Hammond, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was graduated from Galesburg High School in 1959.
He was a clerk for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 20 years and worked five years at J & J Pet Supply, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
Cremation will be accorded. A private family memorial service will be later. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
