PHOENIX - Linda L. Gunther passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2008, under hospice care at Good Samaritan Hospital following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
Linda was born on May 7, 1941, in Galesburg, Ill., and attended elementary and high school there. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona in 1963, and a master's degree in Library Science from the University of Iowa in 1965. She then moved to Phoenix and began teaching and running the library at Sevilla Elementary in the Alhambra School District from which she retired after 25 years.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Gene Gunther. She is survived by her brother, Gary; and many other loving relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Jerry (Woodie) Wood
I was playimg in a rugby tourney in phoniex and asked Linda to drop by. She along with Ron Schoing. After the game later that evening we went to see Paul Revere and the Raiders. Had a wonderful time. I know she flew across the universe-reached the other side and found a place to rest her spirit. RIP Woodie
