William V. Riley Jr.

GALESBURG - William V. Riley Jr., 57, 1317 Clark St., died at 3:15 a m. Thursday (June 24, 1999) in Galesburg Cottage Hospital, 695 N. Kellogg St.

He was born July 22, 1941 in Galesburg, the son of William and Rosalie Lovell Riley Sr.

He married Lynne Krause on Nov. 18, I960, in Indian Head, Md. He married Anna Martinez on June 21.1969, in Galesburg.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, William Riley III, Coon Rapids, Minn., and David Riley, Galesburg; one daughter, Penny Riley, Montgomery; his father, of Kewanee; one sister, Pat Anderson, Cuba, and three step-grandchildren.

He was graduated from Galesburg High School in 1959.

He served two years in the Navy.

He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 40 years as a trainman and foreman.

He was a member of the United Transportation Union. Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285, the Niabi Zoo Association in Moline, and the National Rifle Association.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sat­urday in Watson Funeral Home, where visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Ceme­tery, where military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 285.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and to the family.
