John W. Skinner, 40, 191 N. Prairie St., died at home Sunday at 10:45 a.m.

He was born July 27, 1940, in Oneida.

Surviving are four brothers, Wayne in Texas, Maynard of Geneseo and Richard and Clyde, Jr., both of Galesburg, and three sisters, Dorothy DePrima, Lake Zurich, Mildred West, Dahinda, and Grace Brown, Galesburg.

He was a maintenance worker for Intra State Telephone Co. He was a member of the American Legion and Communication Workers of America Local 5073.

Funeral will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel, with Rev. J. T.Moore officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice, the family said.
