GALESBURG - G. Kaye Carroll, 73, Galesburg, died at 4:42 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, in Cottage Hospital. 
She was born March 11, 1941, in Galesburg, the daughter of Robert and Sylvia Mealman Eaves. 
She is survived by her companion of 34 years, Gary L. Harvey of Galesburg; two daughters, Kalynn (Dan) Andersen of Lakeview, Arkansas and Julie (Clark) Rodgers of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; three brothers, Robert (Loreta) Eaves of Galesburg, Howard Eaves of Orlando, Florida, and Sammy Eaves of Missouri; five sisters, Dee Eaves Morris, Sally (Ron) Ackerman and Dorothy (Ken) Bettis, all of Galesburg, Mary (Phil) Fox of Visalia, California, and Laura (Jim Myers) Eaves Dowell of Galesburg; five grandchildren, Jason R. (Ashley) Overby, Bonnie (Clint Hennenfent) Moore, Mandy Ramirez, Natalie and Teagan Rodgers; and four great-grandchildren, Lynzie Peacock, Gabby Ramirez, Jacob and Summer Moore. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donald Eaves; and one sister, Charlotte Hatch.
Kaye worked for Maytag Corporation for 34 years, retiring in 2000. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1959. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was everything to her. 
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
