I am very sorry to hear about Terry!  We grew up in the same neighborhood and were friends all through elementary school and junior high.  I will never forget the day he earned his sports letter from Lombard.  It was as if he had won the lottery.

Yes, I remember those football games at Lombard, and walking to the ice cream place afterwards. Why can't I remember the name of that place!!  Terry was a nice guy.

Mari Barrowman sent me a  picture taken in front of Lombard on the last day of school 8th grade. There were 8 of us.  Elinor Sandberg, Chris Johnson, Marlene Hanson, Carolyn Higgins are all gone.  Just Mari, myself, and  not sure about Loretta Calderone.  This has been a sad year.

Sorry to hear about Terry.  He was a fun kid to be around.  Remember a Halloween party at his house when we were at Lombard.  Gary Leaf was there and I can't remember who else.  Bet his folks remembered that evening for a long time to come. They were very nice people.

Terry was a "good teammate" on the gridiron our jr. year.  He probably played a bit more . . . I was a more talented bench warmer (I guess).  By scrimmaging & playing together, we got to know each other more as individuals, & he leaves pleasant memories.  Vern Dargel
