CONNIE SUE HECK

Connie Sue Heck, age 80, of Quincy, died Monday, October 18, 2021, at 5:59 pm in Good Samaritan Home.

Connie was born April 4, 1941 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Rita Schwarz Geske. She married John Heck on January 15, 1966 in Galesburg, IL. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2003.

Connie was a 1959 graduate of Galesburg High School. Connie had been employed by St. Mary's Hospital in registration, but most of her life was spent taking care of her family as a homemaker. Connie was well known as an animal lover.

Survivors include her daughter, Lori Stockdale of La Porte, TX; three grandchildren: Amanda, Ashley, and William Pahl of La Porte, TX; her sister, Shiela Larson of Galesburg, IL; several nieces and nephews, including Mary Ann Stroude of Los Alamo, NM; a life-long best friend, Marge Pederson of Chicago, IL; and two very close friends, Matt Schmidt and Gloria Wilson of Quincy.

In addition to her husband, Connie was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside Services: 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Greenmount Cemetery with Chaplain Josh Vahle officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
