TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Dale Robert Larson, 69, Tuscaloosa, passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. 
Memorial service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Forest Lake United Methodist Church with Dr. Chris Denson officiating. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg, Ill., with the Rev. Marilyn Anell officiating. Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South is in charge of arrangements.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Ernest O. and Mildred K. Larson; a sister, Sandra Lee; and a brother, William Meyer. Survivors include his wife, Ann Black Larson, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sons Edward D. Larson, Birmingham, Ala., and James J. Larson, Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Judy Behrens (Rich), Eagle River, Wis.; brother-in-law Roger D. Black, Kewanee, Ill.; nephews Douglas Black (Becky), Kewanee, Ill., and Kenneth Black of Galesburg, Ill.; and other nieces and nephews.
He was born Sept. 28, 1941, in Kankakee, Ill., and graduated from Galesburg High School in 1959. Dale served in France and Germany as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. After completing service, he married the former Ann Black on July 25, 1965, in Galesburg, Ill
