PEORIA - Mary Ann Stewart, 68, of Peoria passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009.

Mary Ann was born on Oct. 7, 1941, in Galesburg to David Andrew and Gertrude Johnson Stewart.

Among the survivors is one brother, Danny Stewart of St. Louis; and an extended family that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Stewart.

Mary Ann retired from the Peoria Park District, where she had been an administrative assistant. She truly loved her time working at the park district and the other people that worked with her. Prior to that time, Mary Ann had lived in Chicago and worked for Lockheed Aircraft.

Mary Ann was an avid sports fan who would never miss rooting for the Cubs or miss one of her nieces' or nephews' sporting events. She also enjoyed gardening and playing cards.
