David Ray "Mr. Hilly" Hilligoss Sr., 71, of Huron, S.D., died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the First Baptist Church, Huron.
David Ray Hilligoss was born July 9, 1941, to Dave and June Marie (Duvall) Hilligoss at Galesburg, Ill. David worked as a railroad engineer in many states, retiring in 2006.
On May 19, 1990, David married Kim Williams at Alliance, Neb.
He enjoyed camping and watching races. David loved his family and friends, sharing his fun loving attitude and good sense of humor with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his former wife, Valerie Jean Johnson Hilligoss.
