I am deeply saddened by the passing of Cherie Christy Ziech.  I remember her as a quiet, very intelligent person with a beautiful smile.

Cherie was my neighbor for most of my years in Galesburg------though saddened with her passing I know she is now at peace and certainly free from physical pain.  We had so many walks to school together and I have  many fond memories.  I feel fortunate to have called her my friend.

I also am saddened by her passing.  I have not been in contact with Cherie for a very long time.  She was always a special friend from the first grade on.  I still have a picture of us in our Brownie uniforms.

Cherie was a delightful young lady.  We were both members of the First Presbyterian Church in Galesburg and enjoyed attending Sunday School and Youth Groups in the evening.  She will definitey be missed by those who had the opportunity to know her.  Morrie

Cherie and I lived on the same  street in Galesburg (Jefferson St.) We belonged to the same church and shared all twelve grades together. Her death as well as several others recently have had quite an impact on me. I lost touch with her after our graduation but those growing up years have lasting memories.

Cherie was a dear friend and we had kept in contact for over 50 years the last being this past Christmas.  She dealt with her illness with so much dignity and always with a wonderful attitude and grace.  I pray that she is now without pain.  I will miss her.  Mary Ellen

I also am saddened by Cherie's passing. Although I was not in the same group of her friends.I also went to The First Presbyterian Church. I attended our fellowship group as a sophomore and then again as a senior. In fact Rev. Kermit Petersen sponsored me when I went to a small college academy in Tenn.I, at the time wanted to be a minister. All in all I'm at a loss to know that we all have lost so many classmates this past couple of years.

P.S.

As an Elder in the Presbyterian Church I would be more than happy to read scripture if you need me.!

Cherie was a very quiet and soft spoken young lady. Had a soft smile for every one. If I had only known she lived in Dekalb, Illinois we could have kept in touch with each other , me living in Sycamore only a few miles apart.

May you rest in peace Cherie.
